I have taken qi gong classes in the past. The teachers focused on having one learn the exact details of physical movements. Almost nothing was even mentioned about the amazingly powerful inner work of qi gong that I have been learning from Master YeYoung.
YeYoung qi gong has helped me to experience a sense of harmony of mind and body, rather than the "mind over body" control that is such a part of Western culture. The benefits are simple: a healthful balance between body and mind, calm over stress, physical wellbeing, mental clarity and creativity; in short, a better life.

I started studying chi gong with Master B.F. YeYoung to help me rebuild my energy depleted from several successive illnesses over several years. Before I started working with Master YeYoung, I had to take 2-3 hour naps every day, had difficulty focusing, and difficulty breathing. I could not walk more than a few blocks without being out of breath. In the six months that I have been practicing chi gong with Master YeYoung twice a week, my breathing has improved, and I am able to function throughout the day. Most importantly, I am much more aware of when I am stressed or anxious and am able to relax and slow down. My parents and friends have all remarked on a significant improvement in my appearance and energy levels.
The more that I have come to know Master YeYoung, the more I like and respect him. He is a true scholar, and one who lives his life from the Buddhist principles he adopted studying with the great lamas in Tibet.
Of all the teachers I've known from studying martial arts for twenty years, I've never encountered one as multidimensional and talented as Master YeYoung. He is brilliant, well read in English, Tibetan, Chinese, and probably some other languages I don't know of. He is a master painter, artist, art historian, and calligrapher. He is the "real deal" and we are fortunate to have someone of his caliber and talent so close in Sacramento.

Master YeYoung is the consummate instructor and mentor. He is endowed with intelligence, warmth and humility. In addition to providing beginning and advanced instruction in Qi Gong and Tai Chi, he possesses the knowledge and ability to take his students into intellectual, cultural and historical explorations of this fascinating Eastern tradition.

I have been benefiting from my study of Qi gong with Master YeYoung once a week for over four years. I was drawn to study Qi gong to supplement my spiritual development and prayer life.
While my work with Master YeYoung has more than met my expectations in that regard, I have also benefited significantly in terms of my physical well-being, most particularly in facing the challenges of prostate cancer.
Following a radical prostatectomy, I experienced a recurrence of my cancer, which required salvage radiation treatments. While going through radiation, I found that my practice of Qi gong was an enormous help in dealing with the mental and physical trauma my body was experiencing.
I know my experience is not unique and others can receive the same benefit from learning Qi gong, which is so authentically taught by Master YeYoung.

February 16, 2005, was a special day for me. Although I am a skeptic in most matters regarding telepathy and other phenomenon, the experience I had yesterday was truly remarkable and unexplainable. I arrived at Master YeYoung’s studio for my weekly Qi Gong session about 9 AM. Master YeYoung and I spoke for a few minutes and then went into our meditation session. After our preliminary relaxation and the fire visualization, we proceeded to do the light visualization in the torso where each organ is outlined, colored and then filled with light.
Master YeYoung had already brought me through the heart and lungs to the stomach describing the stomach as yellow and focusing on the color yellow. I soon perceived a face appearing in front on my closed eyes. It was a young woman’s face with flowing hair moving in the breeze. She appeared to have a hood or some kind of hat. The overall color I perceived was purple light with her features outlined in yellow. Her features were not sharp and I did not recognize her. She floated in front of me for what appeared to be a minute or more (it is hard to recognize time in meditation). The feeling was benign and not at all threatening. Suddenly, however, another level of my consciousness recognized that she was there and reacted as if to say what are you doing here? It caused the image to disappear and immediately brought me out of my deeper meditation to less focused state.
Master YeYoung and I completed the mediation session and I remained at a shallower level without further images. I decided to describe to Master YeYoung what I experienced. After I described the image to Master YeYoung, he asked me if she was short or tall. Although I did not see anything other than her face I felt she was tall. He then told me, with an apology, that he was not totally focused with me during the session. A few minutes prior to my arrival, he received a call from a young woman who was also being taught Qi Gong. She had burned herself and had called Master YeYoung to ask how relieve the pain. He had been focusing on her and her pain during our session. Master YeYoung and I both believe that I had picked up her image from him during the meditation! He told me I should be happy that I am insightful enough to receive such images.
Later that evening I attended a Feng Shui lecture by Master YeYoung at the Capital Athletic Club. While waiting for the room to get set up I saw Master YeYoung’s wife with a young woman. She was about 5’7” with medium length blond hair and a thin face. Her name is Elizabeth and she is probably in her mid twenties. I immediately realized that she was the woman I had seen. I told her she looked familiar and had seen her before. She responded that Master YeYoung had told her what had happened that morning. The image during meditation somewhat similar to her face, but I believe it was close enough since I was picking it up indirectly through Master YeYoung. She said that she had called Master YeYoung about the burn around 9:00 AM that morning and at about 10:00 AM the pain was gone. My recollection was that I had seen her image at 10:00 AM. I have no doubt about what I experienced and that she was the image I saw.

I was getting ready to leave for work and my tea water had just boiled. I got my to-go cup ready and poured the hot water on my leg instead of in the cup. I screamed and my mother came to the kitchen. I was hysterical with pain, yet I proceeded to make two phone calls. The first was to my work place telling them not to expect me, and the second was to my Chi Gong Master. I told my Master what happened, through my sobbing I heard him say not to worry and that he had class right now, but he would call me in an hour, he also told me that his wife said to put some olive oil on the burn. I hung up with him and turned to my mother who had decided to call her friend who has been a nurse for over 30 years. Her friend said that she would come over later that day and check out my burn. I was still in severe pain, but the crying had stopped. I went to lay on the couch and about 20 minutes later the pain completely stopped. My leg was killing me one minute and the next it was fine. I fell asleep. The next thing I knew the phone rang and my Master was on the phone asking me how my leg was, I told him it was totally fine, he said, "oh, good. Call me if anything else comes up." That night my mother's friend, the nurse came over to check out my burn. She said it looked like a second-degree burn, and told me not to get it wet. She had some medicine to put on it, I was worried it would hurt when she put it on the burn, but it didn't. Then she wrapped it up. The burn healed very quickly, a few days later I wasn't wrapping it up anymore and it never hurt again.

Dear Master Yeyoung,
I just wanted to say thank you for the teachings. I have been searching for this for many years and I am grateful for the opportunity.
This has been my experience to date:
I know that I have a long ways to go; just wanted to say thank you.
Your student,
Patrick
My name is Tharon, and I am a 32-year-old female who has lived in Sacramento, CA most of her life. I started taking Qi Gong with Master YeYong on April 9th 2008. Today is August 19th 2008. This month represents the first month I have gone without a migraine or major symptoms associated with a migraine in over 20 years. Before working with Master YeYoung, I consulted many specialists regarding migraine relief including neurologists, psychologists, and acupuncturists. Some of these individuals may have assisted with my migraine relief and others did not. Supplements and medications were another part of my daily regime which helped but did not completely relieve me of my migraines and the symptoms associated with them. Nothing has ever 100% completely stopped the migraines until working with Master YeYoung.
The overall improvement on my life since Master YeYoung has been drastic. Most notably, I've learned to tune into my body and its needs. I continued to eliminate negative elements in my life and substitute them with positive elements. The time spent meditating clears my head of distracting mind chatter resulting in a clear decision making process. I'm learning to look at the present time in a positive light instead of reflecting on a negative past. Since working with Master YeYoung, everyday I have more words to describe my new feelings. Some of these new words include being alive, healthy, awake, positive, optimistic, and happy. Gratitude is the best word I can use to describe my current feeling. I'm grateful for my new life, for learning how to change, and being giving the opportunity to change. I'm most grateful for having a teacher to guide me through my transform.
As I began I could feel a difference regarding my entire wellbeing. I experienced changes beyond physical benefits alone. The first and most obvious change was a calmness within. I highly recommend Qi Gong classes with Master YeYoung. He is a knowledgeable, professional and gifted teacher who leads by example. His life of discipline and wisdom inspires me to live my own life at a higher level. I am amazed and thankful that our paths crossed! He is a true Master.

Just watching Master YeYoung perform Chen style Taijiquan there's no doubt he's a master and lineage holder. A rare find. What's rarer still is his teaching skills. He's both patient and has excellent communication skills. I highly recommend him.
His presence in Sacramento is a great opportunity for those who are interested in learning Chen Taiji from a man who is steeped in this amazing ancient art and understands western culture.

We have been taking Tai Chi and Qi Gong from Master YeYoung once a week for about 3 years, and continue to take it and enjoy the benefits from it. We feel healthier, more energized, flexible, calmer and more focused. These practices we have found to be essential for balancing the body, mind and spirit.

... I can tell you, master, that being here in China has given me a new respect for you and I hope that as my understanding of Chinese culture improves, so will my understanding of your teachings and the interactions that we have had together. I really appreciate knowing you and I'm so thankful to be able to have a connection with you...

Chinese Literati traditional arts, including qi gong and taiqi (chi gung and tai chi). Bing Fan YeYoung brings the real "literati tradition" (not just nice Chinese calligraphy, painting, etc.) to the West. A rarely heard perspective.

As a former dancer who values a healthy lifestyle, I have always been drawn to tai chi as a form of exercise because of how it combines graceful movements with meditation and the healing power of the chi energy. I’m also a perfectionist and knew I didn’t want to take tai chi unless I could find a qualified teacher who would emphasize proper technique and had the ability to relay the subtleties of tai chi as an art form. Master Bing YeYoung is that teacher. I feel very lucky to be learning from such a master.
